Dear members of the Somerset Residents Association,
The intention of this announcement is to keep the members of the Somerset Residents Association informed with up-to-date and unbiased information. We feel it’s our duty and responsibility to the members of this community.
Last month, many of you may have noticed that in Diane Colley-Urquhart’s campaign flyer she included a design picture of the Somerset waterpark where it claimed, “Diane has worked closely with Parks and the community on this valued community asset for years.”
We (Somerset Residents Association) reached out to Diane and asked her to inform us (the Board of Directors) of her active involvement with the waterpark project. In our correspondence with Diane, we requested that she provide us with a public statement where she could demonstrate her active involvement. No statement has been provided at this time to the Somerset Residents Association.
To the best of our knowledge, the Somerset Board of Directors has no evidence of Diane Colley-Urquhart’s active involvement with the Somerset waterpark project for the three years that it’s been in motion. Other than Diane visiting the waterpark site this summer, we have no direct correspondence with her, or the ward 13 office regarding the project. The ward 13 office was only recently included in e-mail updates from the City of Calgary project manager over this summer.
Lastly, we just want to reiterate that this post is meant to be informative. We have no affiliation with any political candidate, past or present.
